01
No Visually Obtrusive Butt Joints
Cement Siding is typically flashed behind the joints, or sometimes caulked at the seam. Caulk tends to discolor at a different rate of the siding, leading to noticeable joints in the future.
Composite siding on the other hand is overlapped and flashed, meaning no caulk lines on the joints, and seamless lines.
02
Doesn’t Crack Or Become Brittle Around The Edges
Cement siding can be prone to cracking due to it’s inflexibility. Your home is made of wood which expands and contracts at different rates of cement. Over time, that pressure may cause undue stress on the cement shingle

Composite siding is nailed much like vinyl siding, and allows for expansion and contraction in the nail zone.

03
Doesn’t Absorb Water And Stain Easily
Cement is a porous material, and must be sealed to keep stains, and water from penetrating the material; much like a granite countertop it needs to be protected. Once stains set in, it is very hard to get it out.

Composite siding contains glass particles, that resist staining and doesn’t absorb water.
04
Interlocks Together To Keep Pest From Nesting Behind The Siding
Composite siding interlocks together on the bottom, top, and butt joints. Never worry if pests are getting in. Composite has you covered.
